RAJSHAHI, Jan 20: Detective Branch (DB) of police, in a drive, arrested two Islami Chhatra Shibir leaders from Nawdapara Aam Chattar area of the district city recently.
The arrestees are: Milon, 28, son of Babor Ali, of Meherchandi Purbapara area of the town and Rashidul Islam, 24, son of Moklesur Rahman, of Baraigram Upazila in Natore District.
Sources said Milon is the former sports secretary of Rajshahi University Unit of Islami Chhatra Shibir and general secretary of No. 26 ward of the city unit Chhatra Shibir, and Rashedul Islam is the president of Islami Bank Medical College Hospital Unit of Chhatra Shibir and education and research affairs secretary of Rajshahi City Unit Chhatra Shibir.
Police said on a tip-off, a team of police raided the area and arrested the duo. They were involved in sabotage activities in different areas of the city.
Meanwhile, they were sent to jail after producing before the court showing sabotage case.
