BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia today said that a state minister’s statement on a sub-judicial matter is tantamount to the contempt of court.
Khaleda Zia also a former prime minister came up with the remark in a tweet message this evening.
On January 18, Mashiur Rahman Ranga, state minister for local government and rural development, at a programme in Chakaria upazila of Cox's Bazar said that BNP Chairperson will have to go to jail in 15 days.
Friday, Jan 19, newspapers reported, an unelected state minister said that Khaleda Zia would be sent to jail in the next 15 days. Isn’t it a clear case of contempt of court? People are watching how the judiciary protects its independence? pic.twitter.com/AUJj0ykwYF
