President Donald Trump just had his physical and he was rated in excellent shape — except being too fat and not moving around enough.
If mental and physical status is becoming the standard to determine if the president is fit to serve, maybe the standard should apply to all members of Congress and the Supreme Court Justices as well. All of them should be examined and the results of their physical/mental tests posted online.
Surely the American people deserve to know the physical/mental capacities of the principal elected/appointed officials named in the Constitution. Maybe the Constitution needs to be amended to set the standards of those who serve. Currently the only measurable Constitutional standard is age and citizenship — 25 years old and seven years a citizen for representative, 30 years old and nine years a citizen for senators, and 35 years old and a natural-born citizen for president. There are no requirements for Supreme Court justices.
