NOVAK DJOKOVIC is too good not to be in contention for the Australian Open title, according to Rafael Nadal.

Novak Djokovic was a serious doubt for the Australian Open after suffering an elbow injury in the run-up to the tournament.
The Serbian was forced to pull out of the Qatar Open as well as the Mubadala World Tennis Championship prior.
However, the 30-year-old has proven he is in fine shape and breezed past Spaniard Albert Ramos in straight sets in his last match.
And Rafael Nadal has admitted he expected nothing less from the six-time champion and backed him to win his seventh title in Melbourne.

“I don’t know what he’s gonna do but of course he’s gonna fight for the most important thing,” Nadal said.
“He is too good to not fight for it.”
Meanwhile, John McEnroe has also tipped Djokovic to do well despite claims he has had a much tougher schedule than rival Roger Federer.
The Swiss has played three of his matches at night, avoiding the sweltering day-time temperatures, unlike the Serb.
However, McEnroe believe the ‘unfair’ treatment will only spur Djokovic on more.
“I actually think the organisation is doing him a favour by treating him like s**t," he said.
“The guy feeds on adversity.
“I actually think this reversed preferential treatment might actually help him.”
