The Crisis Center of West Texas are in need of volunteers for its PATH (Positive Action Toward Healing) Program, which helps children living in the shelter develop resiliency from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sundays.
The program starts off with art class, followed by a fitness hour and end with a meal.
Local artists to volunteer to teach the art classes are needed. Currently, the artist volunteers do anything from making jewelry to watercolors. Local fitness instructors are needed to lead classes. Current instructors provide yoga, aerobics, Pilates, Zumba and self-defense. The meal is prepared by a volunteer and served.
There is a rotational schedule. Volunteers may be scheduled once a month.
All volunteers must pass a background check and have no violent offenses.
