Robert Kraft's response to ESPN's report of tension between Tom Brady and Bill Belichick that could eventually bring an end to the Patriots' dynasty was clear: It contained "theories" that were "unsubstantiated, highly exaggerated or flat out inaccurate," the Pats owner said of story when it was first published.

Two weeks later, Kraft isn't exactly denying the fact that there is tension between Brady and his coach. During an appearance on NFL Network, he was asked about the report and gave an unexpectedly forthcoming answer. Skip to the 1:51 and 4:04 marks for the relevant bits…

"I have a saying: Jealousy and envy are incurable diseases. I've been around enough, if you run any kind of company - any kind of business - the more successful you are, you have strong personalities, there's always a certain amount of tension. That just goes with the agenda."

Kraft seems to be saying that what Seth Wickersham reported wasn't necessarily untrue but it is not as big of a deal as it was made out to be. The Patriots owner wasn't done. He continued to talk about the relationship between Brady and Belichick later on in the interview…

"There's a lot of strong-minded people but when you have something good going, everyone's got to get their egos checked in and try to hold it together."

Those quotes could make Patriots fans a little uneasy. Brady, Belichick and Kraft's denial - they released a joint statement - might have soothed fans in New England but, clearly, there are issues that need to be worked out in Foxborough if the Patriots' dynasty is going to continue on into 2018 and beyond.
