Sound Off for Sunday, Jan. 21

GET IT TOGETHER, DELCO

I love this Sound Off “Passing It On,” who’s apologizing for pushing someone because they were stuck behind a fender bender and get written up if they’re a minute late to work. I can only assume this person is like most people nowadays: They wait until the very last minute to start whatever they have to do. Start being responsibility for your life and leaving time to get where you’re going, doing what you have to do or whatever it may be.

NO MORE COUNCIL PHOTO OPS!

I noticed the county ad in the Daily Times for COSA no longer has the little photo of the five county council members at the top. We usually see that little logo on everything from the county articles. I wonder if it’s because now there are two Democrats on that five member board, we’re not doing those little photo ops anymore.

TALK ABOUT DEPRESSED

I caught something on the news about another study on college student depression. When was the last time college students weren’t dealing with depression and anxiety? You’ve paying tons of money to constantly get graded on everything. Maybe studies should be done instead on how to cut out all these student life and development administration positions that are driving up costs and not contributing anything meaningful.

ENJOY THE STUPID

To “Tired Of Stupid,” let them keep people calling stupid and generally being “leftist idiots,” as you put it (along try to find something classier to say and don’t stoop to their level). These people are walking, talking billboards for everything wrong with modern American liberalism.

BACK TO THE GULAGS

It’s amazing people like “Gerrie From Wallingford” don’t see the conflicts in what they’re saying. While I would side with Jeff Flake over Trump any other time, after eight years of thinly-veiled commie theory from the Obama administration, Flake should not be making comparisons to Stalin over a one phrase Trump used about the media. The national media has been extremely critical of the Trump administration and no reporters have been exiled to federal desert lands in Nevada. What is far more Stalinist is “Gerrie From Wallingford” wanting every newspaper to put a transcript of Flake’s speech on the front page like Pravda turning people against Trotskyists and the Old Bolsheviks.

SMOKE POT, GO HOMELESS

To “We Need The Weed,” a study just came out in the last couple months putting King County, Wash.’s homeless population at the third-largest in the country. I’m all for marijuana legalization, but it’s never going to happen with delusional people like you as the face of the movement.

THE HYPOCRISY OF IT ALL

Does anyone else find it funny that these people complaining about environmental concerns over the pipeline had no problem with open space being destroyed so they could move into gaudy, overpriced McMansions?

MAKE WORK

Let’s get some more snowstorms so the road crews can put down too much salt and brine to make more potholes so they can fill those in the spring – got to get that overtime.

SEEING GREEN

GET A REAL JOB

To “Big Whoop,” exactly how do you know how much money Walmart makes and how much they can afford to pay people? And you know this is the United States – if you don’t like where you’re working, you can always go work somewhere else if you don’t think they’re paying you enough.

THE EXISTENTIAL BLUES

Hey Daily Times, you think this is good news? The Democrats are lining up, “We want redistricting!” I’ve got news for you, for the last time: It doesn’t matter who gets in there – red, blue, righty, lefty, it doesn’t matter. They’re going to tell you lies, make up stories, produce hot air, and take your money to spend it anyway they want. Get it? Got it? Write it. Print it.
