EastEnders spoilers: Heist money thief 'REVEALED' in revenge plot no-one saw coming

EASTENDERS could be about to broadcast the biggest plot twist of all time.

Fans have been dying to know who stole Aidan Maguire's (Patrick Bergin) heist money back around New Year's.

The money, which was meant to be hidden in a grave, has been taken by an unknown person in a plot against the Irish gangster.

While most people think it was Jay Brown (Jamie Northwick) who took the money, other fans have a better idea.

PLOTTING: Aidan has been determined to find out who took his money

They have taken to social media to speculate whether it is Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) who took the money in the ultimate revenge against her husband Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).

Viewers predicted that Sharon has taken the money to set Phil up as punishment for his part to play in her late husband Dennis Rickman's (Nigel Harman) death back in 2005.

One fan posted: "My guess is that it is a Phil/Sharon plot (how else would Ben have known about the money/known where it was hidden)? I think Phil told her where the money was and she has arranged it behind his back."

REVENGE?: Is Sharon finally get her own back on Phil for his part in Dennis' death?

Another added: "Just imagine if this was Sharon's slow burning storyline since 2001. Revenge for Phil's involvement in Dennis' death. The return of the Watts."

A third chipped in: "Now THAT would be good. Deliberately kept in background 'shopping' whilst plotting her dastardly revenge!"

A fourth wrote: "If Sharon had it that would be brilliant and doesn’t she have a big story coming up?"

WHAT NEXT?: Will Sharon try and take down her own husband?

Dennis was killed on the order of Johnny Allen (Billy Murray) after Phil riled Dennis up so he would make Johnny an enemy, beating him almost to death.

Phil confessed to Sharon back in 2014 that he was responsible for Dennis' death, but she seemed to forgive him.

Was it all a ruse so she could get revenge?

EastEnders continues tomorrow at 8pm on BBC.
