Accused injures 3 cops in Bhuj, flees

RAJKOT: Three policemen were injured after they were attacked allegedly by a murder accused who was absconding after jumping parole in Bhuj, Kutch on Friday night.

When cops tried to nab Kasam Mamad Notiyar, a resident of Nakhatrana taluka, he attacked them with knife in Dindayal Nagar and managed to escape from the spot and is still at large.


Police had traced Notiyar to Bhuj and had dispatched a team from B-Division police station to arrest the accused. Probationer ASI Jaydipsinh Zala as well as constables Prakash Devu and Suresh Chaudhary were injured in the attack. The injured cops were rushed to GK General Hospital where Devu's condition is said to be critical.
