NATIONAL SUMMARY

Mild air will pour from the Gulf Coast to the lower Great

Lakes and mid-Atlantic today. However, there will be pockets

of fog and drizzle to put a damper on the mild spell.

Temperatures will be trimmed from Saturday's mild highs to

more seasonable levels across New England. The warming

elsewhere in the East will occur ahead of a potent winter

storm spreading disruptive snow from the central Rockies

onto the central Plains. Freezing drizzle threatens to glaze

areas from the central Plains, south and east of the snow,
