Michigan poet KFG is no stranger to kicking up some dust. In one video, the gender-neutral poet (who uses the pronoun "they") lights into pop star Miley Cyrus and her appropriation of black artists and their work, accusing her of effectively using them as fashion accessories, while her return to country music is just a "costume change." In another, they recount shaving their head on their 20th birthday and wearing a Disney princess dress, creating a ritual of personal transformation. Clearly, this is a poet who has something to say, and isn't afraid to say it.
