The terms of reference of the RDMC have been approved by the State administration, informed the commission’s vice chairman Sharad Singh Negi. He said that the terms had been modeled on those of the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog. According to the terms of reference approved by the State administration for RDMC, the commission will assess the migration from various rural areas of the State. It will develop one vision for development focused on rural areas, which will help in mitigating the seriousness of the migration problem and abet the welfare and prosperity of the rural population.
The commission will also make recommendations and monitor such initiatives in various sectors which have the potential to encourage integrated development which can mitigate migration.
