Anthony Martial celebrates his goal for Manchester United

Manchester United are close to signing Sanchez but are yet to complete the deal.

The Chilean did not travel with the squad to Burnley today.

But Jose Mourinho would have liked to have had him on the Turf Moor field.

United won the game thanks to Anthony Martial’s strike on 54 minutes.

Romelu Lukaku switched to Martial, who curled home his effort from 15 yards.

Burnley hit the crossbar through Johann Berg Gudmundsson, while both sides had penalty appeals turned down.

Paul Pogba wasted a golden chance to win it with 15 minutes left - the France international shooting from range when other options were available.

But United held on to extend their unbeaten run to seven games.
