BRISTOL – Rosino Capobianco, 88, formerly of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at Sheriden Woods Health Care Center in Bristol after an extended illness. She was the widow of her first husband, Dominick V. Zarrella, and her second husband, David LeMay.
Rosino was born on Feb. 5, 1929, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Angelo and Mary (Marino) Capobianco. Rosino was a loving and dedicated mother who devoted herself to her family. She kept herself busy by volunteering for various organizations, such as NOW Inc. of Waterbury, where she would assist the elderly in getting rides to appointments and grocery shopping. She was a Notary Public, and, for a short time, worked as a bartender and hairdresser. Rosino was a talented knitter and also enjoyed crocheting. She would make blankets and throws as gifts, and enjoyed sharing them with friends and family. Many of them were donated to churches for raffles and others were given out as baby shower or wedding gifts. She enjoyed singing while she resided at Sheriden Woods, and was a history buff and a great story teller.
Among her survivors are her children, Dominick Zarella of Surprise, Ariz. and Rose Colella and her husband, Rodney, of Bristol; as well as her grandchildren, David Luth and his wife, Kate, of Plainville; Stephanie Luth and her husband, Paul, of Somers. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her five brothers and three sisters.
Burial services for Ms. Capobianco are private and at the convenience of her family. Relatives and friends may visit with her family at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 E. Main St. at Southmayd Road, Waterbury, on Wednesday, Jan. 24 from 4 to 6 p.m.
