SEASIDE HEIGHTS - Firefighters here are rallying around one of their members after his home was damaged in a Friday night fire.
Seaside Heights Fire Department put up the fireman, who is also a Class 2 police officer in the borough, in a hotel and are helping him find a new apartment, Fire Chief Ken Roberts said.
"We'll take care of him," Roberts said.

Fire crews responded at 6:39 p.m. to a two-unit condominium on Hancock Avenue, Roberts said. The fire started on the outside of the building by the front door and entered into a nearby window, he said.
Three people were home at the time of the fire and all escaped without injury.

Firefighters had the flames under control within 15 minutes, and the fire was out five minutes after that, he said. The fire was limited to an outside porch and a living room.
The cause is still under investigation, but the fire could possibly have started because of an electrical issue, Roberts said.
