A Lockport resident is accused of stealing from another man after threatening to beat him with a flashlight.
Jett Candies, 30, 1531 Hyland Drive, is charged with armed robbery and false imprisonment.
Officers were dispatched Monday to a home on Comeaux Drive, where the resident said Candies had confronted him outside and forced him back in, Police Chief David Harrelson said. The victim told police he tried to leave several times, but Candies kept pushing him onto the sofa and holding him down.
Harrelson said the victim reported that Candies took several items, including clothes, shoes, an electronic cigarette and a drill.
