In a sigh of relief for Odia sprinter Dutee Chand, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Friday extended the suspension of hyperandrogenism guidelines of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).
The fresh order has paved way for Dutee to participate in the upcoming Commonwealth Games and other international sports events.
The CAS issued an order with the consent of both the parties according to which the proceedings of the case before the world’s top sport tribunal would be suspended for a period of six months, during which the IAAF’s Hyperandrogenism Regulations will remain suspended.
