PIROJPUR, Jan 19: An Imam of a local mosque was killed while he was helping saw mills labourers to saw his timber at Kholpetua Village under Indurkani Upazila here on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Abul Kalam Akon, 45, son of Moslem Ali Akon, of the village and Imam of Baitul Hasan Jam-e-Masjid.
On Monday, the deceased went to Bhai-Bhai saw mills at Battala area to saw his timber when suddenly his cloth got stuck with the blade of the saw mills, leaving him seriously injured. Later, he died on the way to Indurkani Upazila Health Complex.
