Sunday Boredom Busters, January 21st

Hundreds of athletes from five states are competing in the Valentine's Classic Cheer & Dance Championship hosted by Dakota Spirit.    The competition wraps up Sunday at the Sanford Pentagon starting at 8 a.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, free for kids five and under.  

Sioux Falls stores are slashing prices as part of Winter Crazy Days at The Empire Mall and at The Bridges at 57th Street.

Enjoy a day of skating at the City of Sioux Falls Outdoor Ice Rinks.  The rinks are located at Campus, Memorial, Frank Olson, Sherman, McKennan and Tuthill Parks.  Sundays hours are from 1-8 p.m.  Skate rentals run from $1 to $3.  
 
Skiers, snowboarders and tubers can enjoy a day on the slopes.  Great Bear Recreation Park in Sioux Falls is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.  Terry Peak in the northern Black Hills is open from 9 a.m to 4 p.m.  

The Sioux Empire Community Theatre presents Heathers - The Musical at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Sioux Falls.  The performance is at 2 p.m.  Tickets are $25.
  
The Outlaw Ice Races feature motorcycles and ATV's racing on Brant Lake in Chester, SD.  Registration at the Shipwreck Bar & Grill starts at 10 a.m.  Practice begins at 11 a.m.  The races start at noon.  

Cinema Falls presents the mystery, Solver at the West Mall 7 Theaters in Sioux Falls.  Doors open at 6 p.m. the movie starts at 6:30 p.m.   Tickets are $13.50.  

Films playing at the Wells Fargo CineDome at the Washington Pavilion include Amazon Adventure, Journey to Space and Wild Africa.
 
New Hollywood releases playing at a theater near you include Forever My Girl, rated PG, 12 Strong, Den of Thieves and I, Tonya, all rated R.  
 
The AFC Championship pits the Jacksonville Jaguars against the New England Patriots on KELOLAND TV.  Coverage begins at 1 p.m. with the NFL Today.  Game coverage starts at 2 p.m.
