Forecast: Tampa Bay’s bitter cold snap is finally over

Tampa Bay is finally clear of the bitter chill that covered the region this week as temperatures picked up on Saturday.

They’re expected to stay mostly in the low-to-mid 70s for the rest of the week, said 10Weather WTSP meteorologist Grant Gilmore.

Saturday is forecast to be partly cloudy with about a 20 percent chance of stray showers, Gilmore said.

Highs Saturday are in the upper 60s and early 70s, about average for this time of year, according to Gilmore.

The cloud coverage should start to clear up Sunday and the forecast high climbs to 75 degrees.
