Boulder County is under a winter storm warning with up to 8 inches of snow forecast before it winds down late Sunday.
The National Weather Service calls for a high of 45 today under mostly sunny skies, before snow and freezing drizzle begin prior to 2 a.m. Sunday, with a chance of precipitation at 100 percent. A total of 2 to 4 inches is forecast overnight.
Snow, possibly mixed with freezing drizzle, and then becoming all snow after 8 a.m. is expected for Sunday, with a high near 28 and the chance of precipitation still at 100 percent.
Additional snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches is possible Sunday.
Monday should see a return to sunny skies, with a high of 40 degrees. There should be mostly clear skies and seasonal temperatures continuing through the end of the work week.
