Valuables worth Rs1 lakh including Rs75000 cash were burgled from Kailash Nagar under Bairagarh police station area on Thursday.
According to the police, the victim Manoram Singh along with his family had gone to visit his relative on January 12 and when they returned on Saturday they found that the valuables were missing.
Omprakash Khilyani and his wife had gone to work and when they returned in the evening they found that the lock was found broken and on entering the house was found burgled.
A complaint was made by the victim with the Bairagarh police and in the complaint the victim had claimed that on his return he found that the locks were broken and on entering the house was found ransacked. Gold jewelry worth around Rs25000 and Rs75000 cash were found missing claimed the victim. The total loss in the burglary was around Rs 1 lakh.
In the burglary the almirah in which the valuables were kept, was targeted and the other valuables were not disturbed. The lock of the almirah was found broken and the cash and gold jewelry were found burgled.
Based on complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 454 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
The couple works as teacher and where at school at the time of the burglary. Police suspects that the miscreants were aware about the whereabouts of the victim and targeted the house accordingly. The neighbours and domestic help would be questioned in the further investigation.
