The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday launched a scathing attack on the Election Commission of India for its recommendation to disqualify 20 party MLAs for holding office of profit. “This is Modi’s Election Commission,” said AAP’s spokeperson Saurabh Bharadwaj.
“This recommendation has been made by the EC without hearing the arguments of MLAs on the allegation of holding office of profit,” Bharadwaj said.
The AAP leader said, “Chief Election Commissioner Achal Kumar Joti, a retired 1975-batch IAS officer — who was Gujarat Chief Secretary when Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister — is paying back to the Prime Minister.
