Nationally ranked UAFS returned to its winning ways on Thursday night with a dominating 95-53 Heartland Conference win against the Texas A&M International Dustdevils at the Stubblefield Center.

The No. 23 Lions will look to build off that impressive win and sweep their two-game, conference home stand on Saturday, when they host the St. Mary’s Rattlers at 3 p.m. at the Stubblefield Center.

The game will be broadcast on KHGG-AM 1580, KHGG-FM 101.1, KFPW-AM 1230 and KFPW-FM 96.7. Live statistics and live stream will be available.

It will be the final game of the first round of conference play for UAFS.

With its win on Thursday night, UAFS (15-3, 4-3) snapped an uncharacteristic, two-game losing streak, and, with other upsets in the conference on Thursday night, the Lions moved within one game of first place.

No. 17/25 Dallas Baptist (14-3, 4-2) lost 82-78 at Oklahoma Christian and slipped into a three-way tie for first place with Rogers State (13-5, 4-2) and Newman (8-9 4-2). UAFS, Lubbock Christian (7-10, 3-3), Oklahoma Christian (7-10, 3-3) and St. Mary’s (7-10, 3-3) are all one-game behind the leaders.

St. Mary’s had its two-game winning streak snapped on Thursday night with an 85-65 loss at Rogers State. The Rattlers had won three of their past four games prior to the start of their two-game, conference road trip.
