AFTER spending most of his musical career trying to organise gigs, Taran Croxton thought there had to be an easier way to book a venue.
And so Prysim was born.
Mr Croxton is the mastermind behind the Cloud-based music management system which features integrated calendars, efficient communication tools and band and venue profiles, linking musicians with places to play.
"When I was younger I was a musician and played a lot of shows and struggled with booking gigs and finding out who the best person was to contact," he said.
"I spent nine-tenths of my music career trying to find gigs."
While still only taking pre-registrations, Prysim is already making waves in the industry with the father-of-three saying hundreds of artists and venues had already signed up.
There's even been international interest, with Mr Croxton exhibiting his business at technology conference Rise in Hong Kong.
Prysim HQ - at Mr Croxton's home - also showcases artists through Facebook live videos on its page.
"Being from regional Australia, Sunshine Coast myself... I know how important it is to be getting exposure as an artist," Mr Croxton said.
"I'm all about helping the artist, so that was my way of getting back into an industry I left five years ago."
Available Australia-wide, Mr Croxton said he hoped for Prysim to eventually expand to include sound engineers, lighting technicians and more.
"We also want to evolve that into the whole industry as well," he said.
"A lot of interstate people that are coming to the Coast are actually asking us who does photography and videography at gigs.
"Just being able to find all the contacts in the industry and then being able to see their availability and contact and book them in through the one system will make that process much more efficient."
