New Delhi, Jan 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an exclusive interview with Zee News Editor Sudhir Chaudhary on Friday spoke on various domestic and international issues including India’s charm-offensive at international forums.

The World Economic Forum at Davos

On his decision to participate at the World Economic Forum at Davos in Switzerland, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “The WEF is a panchayat for economic deliberations and India is the main attraction. People would like to hear from the head of the government. So I have decided to represent the country at the forum.”

Putin-Trump-Modi Block (PTM)

On the question of the much-talked-about new world order where (Russian President Vladimir) Putin, (US President Donald) Trump and Modi (PTM) block plays a pivotal role, the Prime Minister replied with a smile, saying that we should not limit our engagements with others in this way. We play different roles at different forums and all are important.

On being asked about his friendship with top world leaders, PM Modi said, “While I stand alongside the top leaders, I always see myself as the representative of over 1.25 billion people of my country.”

Anti-corruption movements

Citing India’s contribution to the world, PM Modi said that since corruption and black money were the main problems plaguing our country and we raised the issue at  the G20 summit, other members of the forum also decided to fight corruption as the biggest menace at the world level.  He claimed that the recent anti-corruption movements are India’s contribution.
