PHILADELPHIA -- Football players are notoriously superstitious creatures of habit, and so apparently too, is Eagles head coach Doug Pederson.
For the second consecutive week, and the third time when preparing for a game dating back to Week 17 against the Dallas Cowboys, the Eagles boarded buses at the NovaCare Complex and headed to Lincoln Financial Field for Friday's practice.
This trip across Pattison Avenue is in preparation for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Here's who needs to step up for Eagles vs. MN
Pederson stressed focus and consistency to his players this week, leading up to the most monumental game of the season.
"We've just got to keep doing what we've been doing," Pederson said. "The guys are going to prepare themselves the way they have all season long. It's obviously a great honor, a great opportunity faced in front of us and we just attack each day the same.
"Each week in some of the games that we've played, there's been the emotional highs of coming off of like a -- like the Rams, for instance. That's a great example, winning that football game and having to go on the road the next week in New York and still having that emotional high and feeding off of that. But it just comes down to the leadership of the football team, keeping the guys in the moment, and just attacking each week as it comes."
Apparently, that routine includes practicing in the Eagles' home stadium.
