Studies show that one out of every six Americans get food poisoning from contaminated foods. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are certain types of foods that are more likely to get you sick that others. They state Spinach causes nearly half of the food related illnesses in the US. Chicken and Poultry can cause serious infections, and sprouts can breed bacteria because they are farmed in moist environments. Be careful and make sure to clean fresh fruits and vegetables before consumption. Greg Holman/News-Leader
