Fortnite and Battle Royale fans have been given advice on where to find the underground mine

fans can now jump on the Battle Bus and check out the Battle Royale map update, which brings eight new areas and updates existing ones.

One of those new areas is Shifty Shafts, and for fans having trouble trying to find the Underground Mine one YouTuber has the answer.

YouTuber Wirf has published a new video giving Fortnite and Battle Royale fans a strategy to plan to their landing in Shifty Shafts.

The video shows Wirf landing in Shifty Shafts, one of the new locations in the Battle Royale map update, before heading to the Underground Mine.

Wirf said the area is a great spot for loot, and he also shows Fortnite fans a spot near Tilted Towers which is great for picking off opponents from afar.

Tilted Towers is another new location that came with the Fortnite map update, and brings the city area that fans have been calling for.

If you want to know where is the underground mine in Fortnite, then be sure to check out Wirf’s in-depth video.

The highly anticipated Fortnite map update went live yesterday and was part of the release of patch V.2.2.0 on PS4, Xbox One and PCs.

Epic Games went into detail about what the update has in store for fans in a ‘deep dive’ blog post.

David Spalinski, Lead Level Designer, said: “Since the initial release of Battle Royale in September we’ve been keeping an eye on opportunities to improve and add to the map.

“We had some initial predictions about what would make it better for you, but chose to take the time to watch, listen, and play with the community to learn about various things we couldn’t have known at the onset.

“We’ve taken that knowledge and built it into this update, which represents a major iteration on the Battle Royale map.”

Discussing the new Tilted Towers city area, Spalinski added: “Tilted Towers is a city located just south of Loot Lake, which adds a hotspot close to the centre of the map.

“It offers a fair amount of vertical gameplay through taller buildings that players can land on, fight through, or even defend against other nearby fortified buildings.

“When constructing this POI, we wanted to create something on the larger end of the scale, similar in size to Pleasant Park or Retail Row.

“We targeted it as a place where many players could choose to land, and still be able to get enough weapons to be able to hold their own.”

While Sidney Rauchberger, Lead Level Designer, said: “Another point of interest just west of the river is an underground mine called Shifty Shafts.

“Unlike the heights of the buildings in Tilted Towers, this POI is all about tighter underground tunnels, which present opportunities to sneak up on or flank your opposition.

“From the beginning we thought that the idea of adding a mine just sounded fun, and now we’ve been able get one in there.

“This location is one to be explored, not scouted from a distance, since all of the good loot is on the inside.”

Here are the patch notes for how Fortnite V.2.2.0 will change the game's world:

• The map has been updated with many new points of interest, biomes, and more!

• Players now interact with grass and foliage as they walk through it.

• Added water effects when entering and exiting water.

• Added a new post-process effect for when your camera goes below the water surface.

• It will now look like you are actually underwater, and you can no longer see for an infinite distance.

• Added Ammo Boxes to Dusty Depot.

• Increased the amount of metal harvested from shipping containers.
