The Wales international has struggled for form and fitness in recent months.
It’s widely expected that he’ll be offloaded in the summer.
But according to Spanish daily Marca, he won’t be heading to Old Trafford.
It’s suggested Jose Mourinho is wary of the former Tottenham man’s lengthy list of injuries.
The Portuguese reportedly knows that signing Bale would be a massive outlay.
And he’s not willing to gamble given Bale’s habit of stints in the treatment room.
United are poised to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.
The Red Devils first approached his team last summer and Jose Mourinho has continued his chase for the Chilean.
Gareth Bale next club: Latest odds

“Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has been linked with Manchester United”
Henrikh Mkhitaryan will move to the Emirates as a part of the deal if terms can be agreed.
Sanchez’s move to Old Trafford will make him the highest paid player Premier League history.
The heavyweights are ready to pay the ex-Barcelona man a staggering £500,000-per-week.
Speaking earlier today, Mourinho said: “I don’t know why it hasn’t happened.
“My involvement in the situation is just to say that I like him as a player.
“There is nothing new. Everybody knows that we are there.
“Especially when the Arsenal manager speaks so clearly (about Sanchez) like he did.
“There is no point in trying to hide anything.
“But he’s an Arsenal player. I will speak with you if one day we sign him - about what he can bring to the team.
“But at the moment there is no point because he is still an Arsenal player.”
