Faith news: Right to Life breakfast; lutefisk dinner

Right to Life breakfast

The local Knights of Columbus chapter will host a Right to Life breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Jan. 21, at the St. Mary's School gym. They will serve pancakes, maple sausage, French toast, orange juice, milk and coffee and will accept a free will donation. All proceeds will go to Birthright and other organizations for the promotion of the right to life from conception until natural death. The local chapter is Ave Maria of the Runestone, Council 4718.

Lutefisk dinner

Calvary Lutheran Church will hold its traditional annual lutefisk meal from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, at 605 Douglas St. in Alexandria. In addition to lutefisk, the church will serve meatballs and gravy, lefse, boiled potatoes, salad, beverage and dessert. Cost is $15 for adults, $5 for ages 7-16 and free for ages 6 and under. Tickets are available at the door, and the dinner is all you can eat.
