Authorities are investigating the slaying of a man in front of his home in Richland County on Friday.

Richalnd County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call of a shooting in the 100 block of Gale River Road in Northeast Richland County around 2 a.m., said Sgt. Brittany Jackamonis, spokeswoman for the agency. When deputies arrived, they found an 18-year-old man dead in the front yard of his home.

The shooting is being investigated as a homicide. Additional information was not immediately available.
