THOMAS EDWARD COLALELLA JR.

Thomas Edward Colalella Jr. Hopewell Township Thomas Edward Colalella, Jr., 69, of Hopewell Twp., passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018, in Heritage Valley, Beaver. Born August 20, 1948, in Sewickley, he was a son of the late Thomas Edward Sr. and Irene H. (Skiba) Colalella. Mr. Colalella retired from Pittsburgh Forging Company with 30 years of service. Following his retirement, he graduated from CCBC, receiving a degree in computer analysis, and worked for Michael Baker Company as a program analyst. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served in the Cold War, and was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Wireton. Tom was a member of the Hopewell V.F.W. where he served as past post commander and past district commander; Beaver Valley Sportsman's Club; and the Hopewell Rifle Range, serving as past president. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Debra (Myers) Colalella in 2012; a brother, Francis Colalella; sister, Mary Jean Lance; and his best friend, Chuck Lundy. Surviving are two daughters, Theresa "Terri" Colalella and Catherine Colalella; five grandchildren, Samantha, Charles, Thomas, Erick, and Dante; two great-grandchildren, Salena and SaMiyah; three brothers, David (Patty) Colalella, Raymond (Leeann) Colalella, and Joseph Colalella; a sister, Michelle Bracken; a special friend, Beth Gillen, and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, www.tatalovichfuneralhome.com, where the Beaver County Special Unit will conduct military honors Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a blessing service Saturday at 10 a.m. with Father Bob Zajdal officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
