Bigg Boss 11 winner Shilpa Shinde makes shocking revelations about Vikas Gupta and Hina Khan

Bigg Boss 11 winner, Shilpa Shinde is currently on the cloud nine after winning the show. The former Angoori Bhabhi of ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai!’ won Bigg Boss 11 on the basis of her fan following and her caring nature in the house.

Sumit Rajguru of Free Press Journal spoke to Bigg Boss 11 winner Shilpa Shinde about her journey in the house and many interesting things.

What according to you were the major factors in you winning Bigg Boss 11?

(Laughs) I think my honesty! In the show, I was the same Shilpa Shinde inside the Bigg Boss 11 as well as outside the house. People usually got judgemental about my aggressive nature and all, but that is not the fact. I always take a stand but if I get hurt with certain situations, then I prefer to stay away from it. It’s my nature! I do think my honesty worked. I never pretend to be good in everyone’s eyes.

How would you describe your Bigg Boss journey?

It’s really horrible! But, after I came out of the house, I felt that I got the returns of my hard work. It is very sad to say that Neki Kar Dariya Mein Daal (Do good and forget about it), but I always did well with others. If I sacrificed for other in terms of captaincy and other stuff, they used to call me Shilpa Devi (Goddess). But I think after coming out of the house, I realised that, if a person wants to prove himself, they should go to the Bigg Boss. Bigg Boss gave me my lost identity. Bigg Boss is the best thing that happened in my life.

How much of what we saw on Bigg Boss 11 was real, and how much of it was scripted?

(Laughs) I always thought that Bigg Boss is scripted. Makers had told us to be what we are. If anyone abuses, you can also abuse, due to this your real character will come out. What people have seen on TV was everything real. If Vikas Gupta is mastermind then he is a mastermind. It is proven inside that he did everything very cleverly. Bigg Boss always used to say that do the task smartly not cleverly. Because there is a very thin line between smartness and cleverness. Hats off to Hina Khan and her honesty, whatever she is, was actually seen on TV. She never tried to hide. If she is dramebaaz then she is actually a dramebaaz. That’s how she is in her real life. That’s why Bigg Boss is not scripted at all. I wish it would have been scripted, because, I can’t talk to those people who have actually hurt me in the house. (laughs)

What is your actual equation with Vikas Gupta, and did it change during your stay in Bigg Boss?

Yes, definitely! Before entering the Bigg Boss house and during my past controversies, he was nowhere in the limelight. He was the first person whom I met for my problem when he was newly appointed to the channel. But at that time, he told me just come to meet because I can’t listen to your complains. That was a shocking line for me. At that point in time, Vikas Gupta misused his power and disappeared. Vikas Gupta was involved in everything but nobody took his name in interviews. I have taken his name in many interviews but in the footages, they have put a beep on his name and I have recordings of that. There are many things I have but I don’t want to start that controversy again.

He is not a bad person, he is very talented. I don’t want to say that we are friends now but whenever we will meet we would have a professional talk. I don’t want to work with him but yes as I have promised him, I will work for his web series. I’m also little adamant. (smiles)

How did you actually feel after meeting your mother in the house?

That was the very emotional situation! I got to know many things about my personal life, I realised that I do not spend time with my family. After my father passed away, my mother and I stayed together. My brother also went to stay away after his marriage. I used to shoot in Naigaon. Thus, I told my mom to stay with my brother (Ashutosh). After that, when I saw my mom in the house, I was shocked! Because I told them don’t trouble my mom. I thought that my sister and nephew would come to meet me from the US. But my brother said we should go. That was an amazing time when my mom came and said that I felt bad about what is happening in the house.

Two-days before, I had told Akash Dadlani that he is not liable to be the son of any mom for his behaviour towards me. Because I have fed him food like a mother or elder sister. I can’t express how I felt when my Aai (mother) came in the house.

There are reports stating that you have been cast in the role of Salman Khan’s Bhabhi for his upcoming film, what would you like to say about that?

No! These are all rumours. I can never ask Salman Khan for work. I think whatever Salman Ji has done for me was really amazing. He supported and respected me throughout the game. If he asks me to do a small part or a role in his film, I would definitely do that for him. I’m always there for him.

What will you say about your Bigg Boss 11 competitor Hina Khan? Will you be in touch with her?

No! Not at all! It’s impossible! Everything is over now. I can never be her friend as I have a different definition of friendship in my dictionary. It’s over.

There are reports claiming Colors have roped you in for their new show, what will you say about that?

I don’t want to do TV or don’t want to be a part of any reality show as a contestant. Because, the time I have gone through because I was banned on TV, is there in my heart. But, Bigg Boss gave me my lost identity. However, my producers banned me. But now, I have banned those producers and decided not to work with them again.

How would you describe Salman Khan as a host and a person?

Oh my God! He is superb as a host and as a person, he is a real human being! He is very humble, grounded. I didn’t believe that he is the real Salman Khan standing beside me. He is a very simple man. I can’t even describe his nature. We used to get food from Salman Ji’s house every weekend. I’m so lucky that I know him personally. I feel like I am on top of the world.

Last thing you want to say to your fans after winning the show?

I’m expecting the same love from them. Keep patience! Don’t pressurise me to work in a serial or show. Kindly keep patience and accept me and my work which I’ll do in future. This is my request as whatever I’m now is just because of my fans. I’m really thankful to them. I really wish that I would actually do something good for them again.
