Western Illinois women dominate Fort Wayne 91-44

MACOMB — The Western Illinois women's basketball team dismantled Fort Wayne in a 91-44 Summit League victory on Thursday night.

Emily Clemens and Taylor Higginbotham each finished with 13 points for the Leathernecks (14-5, 4-1) to lead six players in double figures scoring. Clemens scored nine of the of WIU's 20 first-quarter points. And it was off to the races at Western Hall when Higginbotham hit a 3-pointer to spark an 11-2 run to start the second.

The 'Necks were 29-for-60 on field goals, and the Mastodons (4-15, 1-5) to 4-of-20 shooting from the 3-point arc. Fort Wayne trailed 42-17 at halftime.

Michelle Farrow, Morgan Blumer and Sam Pryor had 11 points for Western and Olivia Kaufman scored 10.
