Hastings wrestling dominates North St. Paul

The Hastings Raiders wrestling team hosted North St. Paul in a Metro East Conference dual last Thursday, Jan. 11, for Parents Night. The Raiders won 69-12 by virtue of winning nine matches (eight by fall) and receiving three forfeits. Below are the results for each weight class:

106: Seventh-grader Aiden Erickson lost by fall in 1:52 to Isaac Fang. (6-0 NSP)

113: Sophomore John Kendall won by fall in 2:44 over Dillan Xiong. (6-6)

120: Junior Matt Myers won by fall in 2:32 over Billy Lee. (12-6 Hast)

126: Junior Paul Kendall won by fall in 0:54 over Tairu Thao. (18-6 Hast)

132: Junior Jesse Mimbach won by fall in 0:37 over Amor Tuttle. (24-6 Hast)

138: Junior Mac Wilson won by fall in 1:08 over Charlie Morency. (30-6 Hast)

145: Sophomore Devon McSorley won by decision (8-5) over Antony Tuttle. (33-6 Hast)

152: Junior Amar Thomas won by fall in 1:45 over Kim Marich. (39-6 Hast)

160: Junior Travis Frias received a forfeit. (45-6 Hast)

170: Junior Alex O'Connor won by fall in 4:49 over Irving Sereno. (51-6 Hast)

182: Junior Godswill Pepple received a forfeit. (57-6 Hast)

195: Senior T.J. Pottinger received a forfeit. (63-6 Hast)

220: Senior Trey Rogers won by fall in 1:37 over Isaiah Okoro. (69-6 Hast)

285: Junior Luke Chamberlain lost by fall in 3:52 to Corey Guenther. (69-12 Hast)
