(CNN/Meredith) -- A terrifying boat crash on the Columbia River in Oregon on August 12, 2017, has led to a lawsuit against the driver of one of the boats.
The footage was just released this week and shows three people in a fishing boat trying to get the attention of the driver of a speeding 30-foot Bayliner. Despite their attempts to alert the other boat, it keeps moving directly at them.
All three people on the fishing boat were able to jump overboard in time to avoid the oncoming boat, but some minor injuries were reported. The crash resulted in a lawsuit filed by one of the fishermen against the boat's driver.
The lawsuit reportedly alleges the driver of the Bayliner may have been distracted by his cell phone.
