Alexis Sanchez humiliation

Alexis Sanchez was reportedly told by Arsene Wenger to train with the Arsenal youth team.

Sanchez is expected to join Manchester United by the weekend.

After being left out of the match day squad for the 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth last Sunday, the Chilean is likely to leave the Gunners.

And according to The Sun, Wenger has become so fed up with Sanchez that he has excluded him from the first-team set-up.

Manchester United fans are desperate for the club to announce the signing of Alexis Sanchez.

Sanchez, who is nearing the end of his contract at Arsenal, is expected to join Manchester United in a move which would see Henrikh Mkhitaryan head in the opposite direction. 

The Chile international could reportedly undergo a medical in Manchester this evening with the club keen to complete the deal ahead of their Premier League clash with Burnley this weekend. 

And excited Red Devils are keeping a close eye on social media for any indication the move has been completed.

Sanchez signing good for dressing room

Manchester United stars will feel the club is heading in the right direction with the signing of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal, claims former Gunners striker Alan Smith.

Smith believes the Chilean’s arrival will help shorten the gap to rivals Manchester City, and boost morale in the dressing room.

“It will help close the gap on Manchester City I think, definitely,” Smith said on Sky Sports.

“It’s not going to help majorly this season I don’t think in terms of closing that gap too much, but I think it will give the club a lift, the dressing room a lift, certain players. 

“You’re looking at people like Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial who are competing in a similar position perhaps. We’ll wait and see where Jose Mourinho wants to play him. 

“It will give everyone maybe a little shove up the backside to raise their game which is always a great secondary thing when you bring in a top player. 

“You get that little buzz in the dressing room - ‘oh, wow, Sanchez is here, this club is going in the right direction’.”

Sanchez remains tight-lipped

Alexis Sanchez has been asked if he is joining Manchester United after being spotted today.

The 29-year-old was mobbed by schoolchildren in north London today after apparently nipping out for a haircut.

They crowded rounded Sanchez for pictures and repeatedly asked him if he was joining United.

But he showed no emotion and greeted the questions with an entirely emotionless straight face.

Alexis Sanchez is expected to undergo his medical with Manchester United this evening, it has been claimed by a Spanish journalist.

Sanchez is on the brink of a move to Manchester United and is tipped to undergo a medical this evening.

That’s according to Spanish reporter Jose Alvarez who has claimed the Chile international is expected at Carrington in the next few hours.

“The Chilean will travel to Manchester in the next few hours for the medical examination,” he wrote on Twitter.

United want Sanchez signing tonight

Manchester United are hopeful of completing Alexis Sanchez's switch from Arsenal tonight so he can play against Burnley at the weekend, reports say.

The Red Devils travel to Turf Moor aiming to put more pressure on Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title.

Sanchez AXED from training

Alexis Sanchez was sensationally axed from first team training at Arsenal this morning ahead of his impending move to Manchester United.

The Chilean reported to training as usual at London Colney this morning and was pictured leaving in his car after the session.

But the Daily Mail claim he did not train with Arsene Wenger and the first team and was made to train with the development side ahead of Saturday’s clash with Crystal Palace.

They say it’s the clearest indication yet Sanchez is set to join Manchester United with his move ‘imminent.’

A football agent has appeared to leak news of an Arsenal transfer deal.

Muzzi Ozcan describes himself as a ‘successful football agent’ who has worked with the likes of Olivier Giroud and Emre Mor.

Ozcan seems to be close to Arsenal's new head of recruitment Sven Mislintat and appeared to send a public Twitter message to that effect tonight.

The post, sent to his 45,000 followers, read: “It’s done well done Sven ! Congratulations to Arsenal ….. See you soon bro in London. Now it’s time to show hospitality while in London.”

The tweet sent Arsenal fans crazy as they bombarded Ozcan with posts demanding more information.

And Ozcan reacted by rushing to delete his post amid some transfer uncertainty.

Ready and waiting

Alexis Sanchez’s family are in Manchester waiting for the Arsenal star to complete a move to Manchester United.

Manchester United are close to signing Sanchez from Arsenal, with the Chile international set to become their next No7.

Chilean journalist Maks Cardenas has claimed Sanchez’s family are waiting for the deal to be announced. 

It is said that, while Sanchez reported to training with Arsenal in London Colney this morning, his family are already up north waiting for United to officially announce his arrival.

“Family and friends of Alexis are already in Manchester waiting for the signature. Sanchez wait with his brother and his agent in London,” Cardenas tweeted.

It turns out that the Red Devils opted for the Chilean because of Antoine Griezmann’s failure to move to Old Trafford.

The France international looked set to join Jose Mourinho’s side last summer, but the Frenchman decided to sign a new contract with Atletico Madrid instead.

That snub made vice-chairman Ed Woodward keen for Sanchez, 29, to be the club’s marquee arrival and talisman.

Emmanuel Petit has questioned the signing of Henrikh Mkhitaryan in a rant about the Arsenal transfer policy.

He told Paddy Power: “I wonder about the quality of players Arsenal have been signing.

“They’re struggling to bring in top-quality players, and to keep the ones they have. It has been like this for a long time. They must be more competitive on the market – times have changed since I left.

“There has been a lot of speculation about the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Malcolm coming in – but Arsenal should be aiming higher."

Arsenal hold up Sanchez deal

Arsenal are holding up Alexis Sanchez’s move to Manchester United after making a fresh demand.

Arsenal and United were thought to have agreed a straight swap deal for Sanchez, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan going in the opposite direction.

But the Evening Standard claim Arsenal now want £10m PLUS Mkhitaryan before they accept the switch.

Arsenal know that Mkhitaryan’s proposed wages will be higher than what they currently pay Sanchez and supposedly don’t want to be left financially worse off from where they are now.

Wenger confirms Alexis Sanchez close

Asked if Sanchez's move to Old Trafford was close, Wenger replied: "I've worked on transfers for 30 years, so it is likely to happen. It is now in the next 24 to 48 hours that it will happen or not.

"But at any moment, at any minute, things can break down. That's how the transfer market is.

“As long as it's not over the line, you have to accept that it can as well not happen. These kind of things are never guaranteed."
