Alexis Sanchez replacement: Big Malcom update as Arsenal star closes on Man Utd transfer
ALEXIS SANCHEZ is on his way to Manchester United but Arsenal will not be able to replace the Chilean with Malcom this month after Bordeaux refused to sell.
That’s according to The Sun, who say the Ligue 1 club are hoping their star man is called up to Brazil’s World Cup squad to increase his price ahead of a summer move.
Malcom is on Arsenal’s radar as they prepare for Sanchez’s departure and the north Londoners have already held talks with the attacker and his representatives over a switch.
Bordeaux are unwilling to entertain a deal for the 20-year-old at this stage though and club chiefs have warned the Gunners off trying to snap him up.

Arsenal are not the only Premier League side who’ll be disappointed by Bordeaux’s decision not to sell £40m-rated Malcom.
The Sun claim Mauricio Pochettino is a fan of the Corinthians academy graduate as well and wants him at Tottenham.
Bordeaux are resigned to losing Malcom at the conclusion of the current campaign, which could end in them being relegated.
And they’re hoping his potential inclusion in Tite’s squad for the World Cup in Russia means they can command a premium fee for him.

Bordeaux have apparently even begun the process of bringing in Malcom’s replacement in anticipation of his summer exit.
One man Arsenal can expect to welcome to the Emirates this month though is Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who’s poised to trade places with Sanchez.
The Armenian has endured a frustrating 18-month stint at Old Trafford and Jose Mourinho is happy to let him leave United.
Sanchez and Mkhitaryan could make their debuts for United and Arsenal this weekend if they complete their moves and are registered within the next hour.
