EastEnders spoilers: The Carter's tragic fate revealed which will leave you heartbroken
MICK CARTER’S time is almost up, as the payment deadline to save the Queen Vic is edging closer in EastEnders.
The New Year’s Day Heist brought a lot of EastEnders characters to their knees, but Mick Carter (played by Danny Dyer) is getting more and more desperate by the second.
Last year Mick hired Fi Browning (Lisa Faulkner) to help bring in more customers and profit, however the deadline is fast approaching.
Lying to his family about the severity of the debts and loans, Mick has kept his personal panic quiet.
Following Ben Mitchell’s (Harry Reid) exit last week, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) has teamed up with returning character Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite) to find the missing heist money.

Following their conversation in Phil’s house, Mel revealed that they are in the same situation, with both of their children involved with all of their criminal activity.
With gangster Aidan Maguire (Patrick Bergin) becoming more angry over his missing money, the pressure is on from all sides for Phil and Tamzin to find the cash.
Next week, as Mick’s desperation grows and time runs out, Phil and Mel assume that he is the perfect suspect for stealing the money.
Eventually coming clean to Callum ‘Halfway’ Highway (Tony Clay), Mick admits that he has severely downplayed the situation with Fi, and that he doesn’t know what to do.

We've got no choice. It's a new start.
In the final 24 hours of the debt, Mick overhears wife Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) confiding her financial worries in Shirley Carter (Linda Henry).
Upset by this occurrence, Mick turns to Vincent Hubbard (Richard Blackwood) for help, ultimately making him feel positive for the future.
Just as Mick begins to feel better, tragedy strikes, and his worst fears are realised - he's lost the Queen Vic.
As the deadline arrives, Mick simply doesn’t have the money.

Unable to provide the cash, Fi may be set to take over the Vic, but with a secret allegiance with Max Branning (Jake Wood), will he somehow be involved in the pub takeover?
Will Mick find a new drastic way to keep his family afloat? Or will he somehow find the money and reclaim the Vic before it is too late.
After Mick joined EastEnders in 2013 and obtaining the Queen Vic from Phil, it looks like the regal pub will change hands once again.
EastEnders continues tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
