One dies, six injured in separate road accidents

One person died and six persons were injured in three different road accidents in Dehradun district over the past 24 hours. In Rishikesh, a person died when the bike he was riding was hit by a truck coming from the opposite direction at Shyampur bypass on late Wednesday evening.

He died on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Rakesh Kudiyal, resident of Mansa Devi, Shyampur.

Police rushed to the spot and the body was sent for post-mortem. Police said that he was going to Rishikesh from Shyampur.

 In Mussoorie, the car with four persons on fell into 200 meter deep gorge  at Makenjy- Hathipav on Thursday evening. The injured have been identified as Anirudh Rauthan of Dalanwala, Shubham Negi of Bhaniyawala, Saurav of Dehradun and Raghav Sood of Himachal Pradesh.

Police rushed to the spot and admitted them to a local hospital.

In another incident, two persons were injured as the  bike they were on plunged  into a gorge at Hathipav. The injured were admitted at Doon Hospital. It must be written here that many people have died and several injured in and around this area because of many factors. The need of the hour is to curb it any cost.
