Boost For Small Business Owners: WhatsApp Finally Unveils Its Business App
Ahead of its worldwide rollout, the WhatsApp Business app has been launched in a few countries and is currently only available on the Android mobile platform
The WhatsApp Business application is an additional application that the user can download it from the Android Play Store. The application will enable business owners to connect with their clientele on a personal level. In its essence, this application will provide the benefits of a Facebook business page on a messaging platform.
The user will have the ability to setup a comprehensive business profile by adding significant details such as the business location, website and contact number. As of now, the ambit of application only encompasses small businesses.
The application is hitherto only available on the android mobile platform and is free of cost. Owned by Facebook, the platform-agnostic messaging platform will perhaps charge larger firms to use the new business application. Larger organizations are likely to benefit from specific tools of the application.
The firm stated the following on their blog: “WhatsApp Business is available today and free to download on Google Play in Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, the U.K. and the U.S. The app is rolling out around the world in the coming weeks.” The application is not yet available for download on the Indian Play Store.
