Police responded to a multi-vehicle crash on Jan. 18 at about 2:20 p.m. on Route 15 near Century Lane in Franklin Township, York County.
Glen Varner, 77, of Carlisle died as a result of the crash, according to a Northern York County Regional Police news release.

A GMC SUV operated by a 66-year-old woman was stopped in the left lane of Route 15 heading south waiting to turn left onto Old Cabin Hollow Road. Varner was her passenger.
While stationary, the GMC was rear-ended by a 2007 Chevrolet sedan operated by an 84-year-old woman, who was traveling south on Route 15, the release states.
The force of the impact pushed the GMC into the northbound lanes, where it collided with a tractor trailer operated by a 54-year-old man.
The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured. Both women were transported to Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital for moderate injuries, the release states.
Varner was also transported to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Delays are expected on Route 15 in Franklin Township, York County, because of a vehicle crash.
Route 15 is closed near Century Lane for a car vs. tractor trailer crash, according to a tweet from Northern York County Regional Police Department.
Crews from York were dispatched to the scene at 2:18 p.m., according to York County 911.
Additional crews from Adams County were dispatched at 2:20 p.m., according to Adams County 911.
Moderate injuries were reported.
