Bed Bath & Beyond has recalled about 175,000 UGG comforters over concerns the bedding could be susceptible to mold, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Thursday.

The recall involves UGG Hudson comforters sold at Bed Bath & Beyond stores between Aug. 24 and Oct. 17, 2017. The company sold roughly 175,000 in the U.S., an UGG customer representative said.

"The product was recalled in Bed Bath & Beyond stores because there were few blankets that had mold spots on them," the UGG representative said.

Anyone with the polyester comforters should immediately stop using it, and return it to Bed Bath & Beyond for a full refund.

The recall noted the mold can pose "a risk of respiratory or other infections in individuals with compromised immune systems, damaged lungs or an allergy to mold."

No injuries were reported.

The comforter, sold for $70 to $110, is manufactured in Hong Kong and imported and distributed in Union, N.J. They were sold in four colors and three sizes.
