A mentally disabled young man was found dead in PM Khali area in Sadar upazila of Cox's Bazar district on Friday morning.
Deceased Hasanul Manna, 38, was son of late Mofizur Rahman, a resident of Boiddaghona Khajamonjil area in Cox's Bazar town, said Ramu Police Station sub-inspector Saidur Rahman.
Local people notiched a body floating in the Bakkhali river around 10:30am. Being informed, police sent the body to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue, the SI said.
Police suspect the youth drowned in the river as no injury marks were found on his body, the SI added.
