JOSEPH E. DAVIS

Joseph E. Davis Center Township Joseph E. Davis, 83, of Center Twp., passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, in Brighton Rehab and Wellness Center. Born January 3, 1935, in Monaca, he was the son of Walter G. and Freda Davis. Joe was raised in Center Township and was a 1953 graduate of Monaca High School. He was first employed by Hydril, later at St. Joe Minerals and lastly at Penn Power, now known as First Energy as a heavy maintenance mechanic. Joe was a member of the Little Beaver Historical Society in Darlington, Clover Lodge #348 Odd Fellows in Ambridge and volunteered for a number of years at Beaver County Habitat for Humanity. He also was a self-taught locksmith. Joseph leaves his wife of 55 years, Patricia (Meteney) Davis; a son, Timothy (Susan) Davis of Center Twp.; a daughter, Dianne (Donald) Whetsell of Hopewell Twp.; four grandchildren, Kayla Stupak, Rachel, Ryan and Jessica Davis; one great-grandson, Dorian Stupak, and a sister, Shirley Kifer of Center Twp. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca (724-728-4000). Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. on Saturday with Rev. Jeffrey Arnold officiating, followed by entombment in Beaver Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joseph's memory, may be made to the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa, PA 15001.
