Chief Minister Raman Singh and the delegation accompanying him on Thursday attended a tribal cultural programme held in Cranes, Queensland in Australia.
They met tribal folk artists and enjoyed the performance of tribal artists as they played melodious musical instrument Dijridu.
Singh said that this programme has given him an opportunity to closely understand Australian tribal people. This programme has reminded me of the folk festivals of Chhattisgarh. He was highly fascinated by the rich tribal culture.
The Australian folk culture seemed quite similar to folk culture of C’garh, he said.
Singh said that there are many similarities in tribal people of oz and tribal people of C’garh.
In his address, the CM also provided information about the schemes launched for welfare of tribal people in Chhattisgarh.
