Senior Patrick Holden became the all-time leading scorer for the Lower Cape May boys’ basketball team Thursday in a 76-50 win against visiting Cedar Creek. Holden finished the game with 25 points to bring his all-time total to 1,687. He eclipsed the previous mark of 1,666 set by Charles Johnson in 2006. Martin Angelov chipped in 20 points for Lower Cape May in the win.
Eric Diaz scored 23 points, including five three-pointers to tally his 1,000th point for Paulsboro in a 58-53 loss to visiting Sterling.
Matt Cotton scored 18 points as Eastern topped Woodrow Wilson, 81-65 to give head coach Kevin Crawford his 200th win. Crawford’s career record is 200-73.
Craig Turner scored 28 points and Gunner Peterson added 13 as visiting Cinnaminson edged Burlington Township, 55-52. Jordan Livingston led Burlington Township with 17 points in the loss.
Jordan Martin tallied 19 points and Jacquey Mendez and Jaedan Sheehan each added 17 points in Bordentown’s 68-63 win against Willingboro in Burlington County League action.
Collingswood got 14 points from Jaden Wallace and 10 from Naseem Young as the Panthers topped host Gateway, 44-42.
Girls’ Basketball
Senior Shayla Sweeney hit a jump shot in the third quarter to break the Pennsauken girls’ scoring record. Sweeney scored 18 points as the Indians fell to Trenton Catholic, 83-30. Sweeney now has 1,270 career points.
Imani Holloway scored 22 points as Sterling defeated Paulsboro, 70-25. Holloway added 7 assists, 6 rebounds and 5 steals in the home win.
Glory Morton notched 28 points and Neesy Bateman added 17 as Delsea topped Deptford, 58-47, at home.
