Audi India has launched the all-new second generation Audi Q5 priced at Rs 53.25 lakh onwards.

While, the new Q5 is powered by the same 2.0 TDI engine with a total output of 140 KW (190 hp) as on its predecessor it boasts a new seven-speed S tronic transmission.

"With a lighter body, a whole new design language and a host of new infotainment and innovative features, the new Audi Q5 is the best offering in its segment available for our customers who want to enjoy driving whether it is on or off the road," said Rahil Ansari, Head, Audi India.

It claims to offer a more-than-impressive mileage of 17.01 kmpl (Automotive Research Association of India certified).

The 2018 Audi Q5 is based on the flexible MLB Evo platform and mimics the design of the larger Q7.

The new Audi Q5 is built on Volkswagen's MLB-Evo platform - common to most of the large SUVs from the Volkswagen group, including bigger sibling Audi Q7, and the recently launched Lamborghini Urus.

The boot space of the Q5 is 510 litres and it can hold 1500 litres of luggage.

Some of the important changes when compared to its predecessor:

* Single-frame grille with Matrix LED headlamps and a sporty bonnet in the front
* Rear sports LED taillights, a roof mounted spoiler and a new bumper with rear diffuser
