Area Wrestling: Knoxville ties Farmington, falls to Midwest Central

FARMINGTON — The Knoxville High School wrestling team finished in a 30-30 tie with Farmington and fell to Midwest Central 30-29 on Thursday.

The Blue Bullets’ Rueben Cantu (145 pounds), Kage Leab (152) and Tanner Warren (285) all pinned their Farmer opponents. Zack Dean (138) and Alec Byerly (182) won their matches by forfeit.

Knoxville’s Dean earned his second win of the night with a 9-4 decision. Cantu also picked up a second win for the night by pinning his opponent. Leab wrestled to a 15-0 technical fall for his second win of the night against Midwest Central.

Brandon Parrish (126) wrestled to a 14-11 decision. Dalton Crouse (220) won by forfeit and Warren recorded his second win of the night also by forfeit.
